Our intention is to develop a suite of higher learning programmes in the field of ‘Sustainable Development Advocacy'.
We have established a successful Masters programme, in partnership with the University of Worcester. The Programme was cited in the report on ‘Higher Education in the Marches (04/05)' as an example of best Higher Education practice.
The MA Sustainable Development Advocacy includes ground breaking approaches to learning, using ‘real life' projects and placements. Graduates go on to find meaningful work and become an active resource assisting regional organisations to develop their response to the challenge of sustainable development.
Nationally acclaimed experts in their field, and a wide range of placement organisations, including businesses, charitable companies and local authorities are involved in delivering the course.
We have been able to attract and retain young professional people in an area which suffers from their outward migration. Applicants who may not normally pursue Masters Degrees, such as farmers, have gained qualifications and gone on to inspire others to adopt more sustainable ways of living and working.
